Anne & Eric + little brother Jude! ~ Princeton, NJ Fresh 48 Photographer

Wednesday, January 21, 2015

Anne and Eric moved into our graduate student community here in Princeton, New Jersey, this past summer. Immediately we bonded over our shared interests. What I didn't know at the time was that Anne was expecting their next little person! Anne and Eric welcomed little brother Jude into their home in what sounded like a most graceful home birth. Big brother Amos was such a curious, sweet little guy when I met up with them the day after Jude was born.

It was my honor to capture those early moments of their family of four. I call this intimate session a Fresh 48 session, an abbreviated, more documentary-style version of my lifestyle newborn photography. I encourage families, whether still in the hospital or at home, to dress comfortably, to relax, and to continue nesting in their most comfy location; essentially just to do what one typically does with a 24-to-48-hour newborn -- snuggle, nurse, and be smitten.

  1. There is always a special bond between a mother and her child. I am a Port Macquarie Photographer and I feel that these photos are gorgeous! As are you. Really love them and your outfits are so pretty! Makes me want to style myself a bit prettier!

  2. Very cute photosession! I think you need to add more light to b/w photos. You can use Lightroom as I usually do (article about it can help http://besthdrsoftwaremac.com/hdr-mac/). But all other your photos are awesome and no needed to any kind of procssing
